After an early breakfast, head to headquarters for a briefing before embarking on an unforgettable chimp trekking adventure. During the trek, you may also encounter other primates such as red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus, and grey-cheeked mangabeys.

Return to the lodge for lunch, spend the afternoon on a guided nature walk through the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This community-managed reserve is known for its rich biodiversity, particularly birdlife, including the Great Blue Turaco and other endemic species. The walk also offers a chance to see monkeys, butterflies, and learn about local plant species and conservation efforts.

Known as the “Forest People,” the Batwa are the original inhabitants of the Bwindi Forest. During this cultural encounter, you’ll discover their traditional music, dance, and deep-rooted connection to the forest, while gaining insight into their unique way of life and the challenges they face today.
