Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your guide will greet you and provide an overview of your upcoming tour. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a guided city tour of Kigali, visiting notable sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and the Presidential Palace Museum.

After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, traveling through Rwanda’s beautiful rolling hills and stunning landscapes. Upon arrival, check in to your chosen lodge and relax as you prepare for the exciting gorilla trek scheduled for the following day.

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by the rangers. You will be assigned a specific gorilla family and then guided into the dense rainforest for an unforgettable trekking experience. The duration of the trek varies from 2-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla group. Upon finding them, spend a memorable hour observing their behavior, taking photographs, and learning about ongoing conservation efforts.

Following the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. Later in the afternoon, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for an engaging cultural experience. Enjoy traditional dance performances, discover Rwandan customs, and interact with former poachers who have become advocates for wildlife conservation.

Enjoy a leisurely morning with the option to visit the stunning twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera, known for their breathtaking scenery and excellent birdwatching opportunities. Afterwards, embark on the drive back to Kigali, stopping along the way to capture photos and explore local markets. Upon reaching Kigali, you may have some time for last-minute shopping before your guide transfers you to the airport for your departure flight.
