Lake Mburo National Park – The Home of the Zebras
Lake Mburo National Park is a compact but richly diverse park located in western Uganda, just a few hours’ drive from Kampala, making it the most accessible savannah park in the country. Covering 260 square kilometers, it is centered around Lake Mburo, one of several small lakes in the area that form part of an extensive wetland system. What sets this park apart is its unique combination of savannah, acacia woodland, wetland, and forest habitats, creating a haven for a variety of wildlife and birds.

- Zebras (this is the best place in Uganda to see them),
- Impala (found only here in Uganda),
- Elands, buffaloes, warthogs, topis, and hippos,
