Ngorongoro Crater – The Garden of Eden
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most spectacular safari destinations. Located in northern Tanzania within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, this UNESCO World Heritage Site spans about 260 square kilometers and forms a natural enclosure teeming with diverse wildlife. Formed nearly 2.5 million years ago, the crater offers an extraordinary microcosm of African ecosystems, with grassy plains, acacia forests, freshwater lakes, and swampy wetlands—all nestled within towering crater walls.
